HOME

The Kuenemann House was run as a bed and breakfast for 7 years between 1997 and 2004. While it did not, at that time, have a Website, it did have a Web presence, being listed in several online lodging directories. There are five suites, three in the main house and two in the carriage house which may be rented to guests. Please visit the photo gallery for more images of all the suites and potential public areas. Below are a couple guest comments that were posted on the Internet.

We have stayed at this wonderful B&B on three occasions. This place is wonderful and I don't know where to start. Paul is the innkeeper, and in our opinion the innkeeper can make or break a B&B, Paul makes it!! Paul painstakingly restored this beautiful house to its present condition. And if that is not enough, Paul researched and documented the history of the house and even has a museum on site regarding the history of this beautiful home. Paul is a wonderful gentleman and if you do not take the time for him to tell/show you the history of the house you are truly missing out. The accommodations are wonderful. We love the Anna Catherine room with its lovely oversized claw footed bathtub. The furnishings and other amenities truly exude the historical flavor of this residence. Breakfast? omg, Mama Love is the best cook in town. Not only is the food wonderful, the conversation is the icing on the cake. Paul has truly dedicated the past several years in developing the best B&B in Fredericksburg. You will feel comfortable from the very minute you enter this wonderful home. It is just blocks from main street shopping and other sites if that is your interest, if not you will just enjoy a peaceful and warm stay. For those romantics looking for that weekend get-a-way, this is THE place. Highly recommended. To Paul if you read this, we love what you have done and will keep returning!! !! ! —Randy & Hilda

This is such a beautiful home. The owner Paul has done a wonderful job of capturing the frontier home feel with elegance. My husband researched various places in the area and his research paid off. This house is not cluttered with "stuff" but elegantly decorated. Paul tells the history of the house (incredible) and has a small museum to honor the Kuenemann's. I can't wait till he starts his mystery weekends. Don't miss this wonderful home.
